9kg ripe tomatoes chopped
1.5kg finely chopped onions
1.5kg sugar
½ cup salt
50g chopped garlic
1.25kg chopped apples
375ml malt vinegar
1 packet Easy sauce & Relish mix
To Create:
Boil tomatoes, onions, apples, and garlic gently for 5 hours. Blend with a stick blender until smooth.
Add sugar, salt, malt vinegar, and ‘Easy’ Sauce & Relish Mix.
Simmer uncovered for approx. 1 hour, or until the desired consistency.
Fill sterilised bottles.
Allow to cool before sealing.
Hint: Make smaller quantities by dividing the packet into batches.
